The perfect introduction to Durham, the museum tells the story of the people of Durham. Situated in an historic church close to Durham Cathedral, displays describe the development of the city with objects illustrating everyday life from medieval times to the present day. There’s also brass rubbing, a shop with refreshments, and a garden containing sculptures by nationally-acclaimed artist Fenwick Lawson.
